March 4, 2025 – BARCELONA, Spain – MWC BARCELONA – Spectrum Effect® today announced that Telkomsel, the leading Indonesian digital telecommunications service provider, has selected Spectrum-NET to drive RF interference mitigation and improve network performance. The deployment in Jakarta will leverage Spectrum-NET’s AI-powered Auto-Mitigation feature to analyze network data, accurately pinpointing and mitigating interference. Initial results have shown up to 2.5x increase in uplink user throughput on affected cells.
This deployment aligns with Telkomsel’s Hyper AI initiative, designed to enhance service efficiency and quality through end-to-end AI-driven automation. By integrating Spectrum-NET, Telkomsel harnesses advanced machine learning to precisely locate sources of external interference, enabling field teams to resolve issues exactly where the system predicts them. Additionally, Spectrum-NET’s new UL Coupling Analysis for User Endpoint Co-Channel Interference provides critical insights, addressing challenges in Indonesia’s densely populated and congested network environment.
“Telkomsel’s decision to adopt Spectrum-NET demonstrates a progressive approach to optimizing existing network investments,” commented Shaun McCarthy, President and Chief Revenue Officer of Spectrum Effect. “In an industry where efficiency is crucial, Spectrum-NET’s ability to recover up to 40% of lost capacity due to interference is groundbreaking. We are delighted to collaborate with Telkomsel as they leverage our AI-driven technology to maintain their network’s reputation for reliability and quality in the region.”
As the first Indonesian operator to implement Spectrum-NET, this deployment underscores Telkomsel’s dedication to delivering a superior service experience through advanced AI-based network optimization techniques, paving the way toward the vision of a Golden Indonesia 2045.
