July 28, 2021 – KIRKLAND, WA — Spectrum Effect® announced today that Spectrum-NET has incorporated 3D environment data into its patented algorithms for locating of external RF interference sources. Spectrum-NET interference locating leads the industry with the highest accuracy.

Spectrum-NET calculates interference magnitudes at each cell and applies Bayesian inference to calculate the location of each source of external RF interference. The locating algorithm now applies both horizontal and vertical antenna radiation pattern information, mechanical and electrical tilt, antenna height, and Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM) data.

“Mobile operators need to respond to an ever increasing amount of external interference from sources such as cell phone boosters and leakage from Cable TV cables. Operators also have an urgent need to clear newly allocated NR RF bands.”, commented Spectrum Effect CEO, Charles Immendorf. “Spectrum-NET is a game changer for operators to surgically deploy their staff and address external sources far more expeditiously. The resulting network performance improvements are felt by their subscribers and measured in industry benchmarks.”
