As a Jr. Python Software Engineer you would be responsible for developing and maintaining new and existing micro-services related to software monitoring, enhancing Spectrum-NET automation through software development best practices, maintain NIFI pipelines, and participate on day-to-day team code-reviews.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain new or existing Python base micro-services.
  • Develop and design unit test for new and existing code.
  • Participate in code reviews.
  • Create documentation for new or existing micro-services.
  • Work with Kibana, Elasticsearch, Prometheus & Grafana to integrate internal Spectrum Effect monitoring features.
  • Automate repeated data management tasks to reduce toil.

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or similar experience).
  • Proficiency in Python.
  • Basic Git versioning knowledge.
  • Familiarity or interest in learning about Kibana and Elasticsearch or other monitoring tools.
  • Basic Linux shell and command line experience.
  • Nice to have AWS Cloud experience.
  • Nice to have  Kubernetes experience.
  • Nice to have Docker experience.
  • Conversational English
