As a Jr. QA Engineer you would be responsible for executing tests within our various labs through backend calls as well as through UI interaction, build and document test cases, develop Python test automation scripts to reduce testing toil, participate in exploratory testing sessions, report bugs or unusual behaviors of our software and follow up on their status to conclusion.

Responsibilities

  • Execute backend and frontend predefined QA test checklist.
  • Create, maintain and document test cases, testing checklists and general QA team documentation.
  • Collaborate in the development of test automation tooling.
  • Participate in exploratory test session with telecommunication domain experts.
  • Report bugs, unexpected behavior or misalignments within our tool during testing cycle.
  • Follow up from beginning to end on open tickets and verify expected functionality within testing environments.
  • Participate in software release process.

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Excellent read, written, verbal English skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Basic technical competence in Python programming language.
  • Basic technical competence with Linux shell and command line scripting experience.
  • Curiosity, open-mindedness, ability to learn quickly
  • Ability to begin learning new technical competencies (e.g., Docker, k8s, Linux, automation testing frameworks, IDEs)
  • Nice to have AWS Cloud knowledge.
  • Nice to have Basic Docker & Kubernetes knowledge.
  • Nice to have experience implementing test automation with any language or tooling.
